Innovative Leadership of School Administrators under Phatthalung Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to study the innovative leadership level of school administrators under Phatthalung Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 as perceived by the teachers; and (2) to compare the innovative leadership levels of school administrators under Phatthalung Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 as classified by school size. The research sample consisted of 285 teachers in schools under Phatthalung Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, obtained by stratified random sampling based on school size. The sample size was determined based on Krejcie and Morgan’s Sample Size Table. The research tool was a rating scale questionnaire on innovative leadership of school administrator, with reliability coefficient of .98. Statistics employed for data analysis were the percentage, mean, standard deviation, and one-way analysis of variance. The research findings revealed that (1) both the overall and specific aspects of innovative leadership level of the school administrators were rated at the high level; the specific aspect levels of innovative leadership of the school administrators could be ranked from top to bottom based on their rating means as follows: the aspect of working as a team and participation, the aspect of using information and communication technology, the aspect of having creative thinking and imagination, the aspect of creating inspiration for the personnel, the aspect of daring to take risks and make decisions, and the aspect of having vision for transformation; and (2) as for the results of comparison of innovative leadership levels of the school administrators as classified by school size, no significant difference was found in either the overall comparison or the comparison of each specific aspect of their innovative leadership.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) ศึกษาระดับของภาวะผู้นำเชิงนวัตกรรมของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาพัทลุง เขต 1 ตามการรับรู้ของครู และ (2) เปรียบเทียบภาวะผู้นำเชิงนวัตกรรมของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาพัทลุง เขต 1 จำแนกตามขนาดของสถานศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ ครูในสถานศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาพัทลุง เขต 1 จำนวน 285 คน ได้มาโดยใช้ตารางของเครจซีและมอร์แกน จากนั้นใช้วิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบแบ่งชั้นตามขนาดของสถานศึกษา เครื่องมือการวิจัยเป็นแบบสอบถามแบบมาตรประมาณค่าเกี่ยวกับภาวะผู้นำเชิงนวัตกรรมของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา มีค่าความเที่ยงเท่ากับ .98 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียวผลการวิจัยปรากฏว่า (1) ระดับภาวะผู้นำเชิงนวัตกรรมของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาโดยภาพรวมและรายด้านอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยเรียงลำดับค่าเฉลี่ยจากมากไปหาน้อย ได้แก่ ด้านการทำงานเป็นทีมและมีส่วนร่วม ด้านการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร ด้านการมีความคิดสร้างสรรค์และจินตนาการ ด้านการสร้างแรงจูงใจให้แก่บุคลากร ด้านการกล้าเสี่ยงและกล้าตัดสินใจ และด้านการมีวิสัยทัศน์เพื่อการเปลี่ยนแปลง และ (2) ผลการเปรียบเทียบภาวะผู้นำเชิงนวัตกรรมของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษาจำแนกตามขนาดของสถานศึกษา โดยภาพรวมและรายด้าน พบว่า ไม่แตกต่างกัน
