dc.description.abstractalternative | The purposes of this research were to: (1) study the level of organizational commitment of the police in Special Training Division, Border Patrol Police Bureau; (2) study the factors related to organizational commitment of the police in Special Training Division, Border Patrol Police Bureau; and (3) suggest increase organizational commitment of the police in Special Training Division, Border Patrol Police Bureau. The population in this survey research were 1,301 police officers of Special Training Division, Border Patrol Police Bureau. Sample size was 310 police officers which were calculated by Yamane’s formula, and from stratified random sampling. Data were collected by as questionnaire. Data were analyzed as percentages, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test with the pair differences using LSD, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results showed that : (1) the police officers in Special Training Division, Border Patrol Police Bureau had level of organizational commitment as a whole at the high level; (2) personal factors of gender and class rank related to the organizational commitment with statistically significant at the .05 level. The police officials with ranks higher levels of organizational commitment will be more police officers with lower-level rank.
