dc.description.abstractalternative | The objectives of this research were to study: 1) the management process of the Mass Communications Organization of Thailand (MCOT)'s regional radio stations: and 2) factors that affect the setting of management tactics for MCOT's regional radio stations. This was a qualitative research. The 7 key informants, chosen through purposive sampling, consisted of one regional radio management director from MCOT and the 6 managers of MCOT's 6 radio management centers. Data were collected using an interview form and analyzed through descriptive analysis. The results showed that: 1) MCOT's regional radio station management process consisted of basic activities that the managers have to do at present, namely, planning, organizational management, leadership, and control. The regional radio station managers used MCOT's organizational strategy as a core guide in setting their visions, missions and operational plans. 2) Both internal and external factors affected the setting of management tactics for MCOT's regional radio stations. The internal factors consisted of personnel, budget, equipment, and management, the most important of which was personnel, because the personnel are central to the tasks of producing radio programs and getting income. The external factors consisted of social, political, legal, financial, technological and competition factors. The most important was the factor of competing radio stations, because there were more competitors in the market and MCOT needed to find tactics to help it be a radio business leader | en_US |
