Health Information Seeking among Employees of the Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited: A Case Study of Wiharndaeng Unit; Saraburi Province

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) study the status of health information seeking among employees of the Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited (2) compare health information seeking among employees classified by gender and work group (3) study the problems in health information seeking among employees (4) compare the problems in health information seeking among employees classified by gender and work group.The population used in the research was 464 employees of the Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited, Wiharndaeng Unit, Saraburi Province. A total of 464 questionnaires were returned, representing a 100 percent response rate. The data collection period was between September and October 2023. The data were analyzed using percentages, means, standard deviations, T-tests and One-way analysis of variance.The research results found that (1) the overall health information seeking status of the employees of the Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited was at a low level, except for psychology, which was at a moderate level. (2) The health information seeking status of these employees when classified by gender and work group did not differ significantly at the .05 level. (3) The problems in seeking health information of these employees were at a moderate level, overall, except for 2 aspects that were at a low level, namely, personal problems and obstacles, and personal information sources. (4) The problems in seeking health information of these employees, classified by gender and work group did not differ significantly at the .05 level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) ศึกษาสภาพของการแสวงหาสารสนเทศด้านสุขภาพของพนักงานบริษัท อิตาเลียนไทย ดีเวล๊อปเมนต์ จำกัด (มหาชน) (2) เปรียบเทียบการแสวงหาสารสนเทศด้านสุขภาพของพนักงานฯ จำแนกตาม เพศ และกลุ่มงาน (3) ศึกษาปัญหาในการแสวงหาสารสนเทศด้านสุขภาพของพนักงานฯ (4) เปรียบเทียบปัญหาในการแสวงหาสารสนเทศด้านสุขภาพของพนักงานฯ จำแนกตาม เพศ และกลุ่มงาน ประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัย จำนวน 464 คน เป็นพนักงานบริษัท อิตาเลียนไทย ดีเวล๊อปเมนต์ จำกัด (มหาชน) หน่วยงานวิหารแดง สระบุรี ได้รับแบบสอบถามกลับมา 464 ชุด คิดเป็นร้อยละ 100 ระยะเวลาการเก็บข้อมูลระหว่างเดือนกันยายน - ตุลาคม 2566 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าที และการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) สภาพของการแสวงหาสารสนเทศด้านสุขภาพของพนักงานบริษัท อิตาเลียนไทย ดีเวล๊อปเมนต์ จำกัด (มหาชน) โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับน้อย ยกเว้นด้านจิตวิทยาอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง (2) การแสวงหาสารสนเทศด้านสุขภาพของพนักงานบริษัท อิตาเลียนไทย ดีเวล๊อปเมนต์ จำกัด (มหาชน) จำแนกตาม เพศ และกลุ่มงาน ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 (3) ปัญหาในการแสวงหาสารสนเทศด้านสุขภาพของพนักงานบริษัท อิตาเลียนไทย ดีเวล๊อปเมนต์ จำกัด (มหาชน) โดยรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง ยกเว้น 2 ด้าน ที่อยู่ในระดับน้อย ได้แก่ ปัญหาและอุปสรรคส่วนบุคคล และแหล่งสารสนเทศบุคคล (4) ปัญหาในการแสวงหาสารสนเทศด้านสุขภาพของพนักงานบริษัท อิตาเลียนไทย ดีเวล๊อปเมนต์ จำกัด (มหาชน) จำแนกตาม เพศ และกลุ่มงาน ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
