Guidelines of the Development of Organic Rice Production for Rice Collaborative Farming Farmers in Ban Nam Phu Subdistrict, Khiri Mat District, Sukhothai Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study 1) the level of knowledge of rice collaborative Farming Farmers in Ban Nam Phu Subdistrict, Khiri Mat District, Sukhothai Province about rice production based on organic agriculture standards; 2) the level to which their current rice production methods met organic agricultural standards; and 3) development guidelines for upgrading organic rice production by the rice collaborative farming farmers in Ban Nam Phu Subdistrict, Khiri Mat District, Sukhothai Province.The research used mixed methods. For the quantitative research, the population was 55 collaborative farming rice farmers in Ban Nam Phu Subdistrict who were registered with the Department of Agricultural Extension in 2023/24. A questionnaire was used collect data from the total population. For the qualitative research, the group of information providers were leaders and members of the rice collaborative farming group, academic experts with knowledge of rice, and community leaders. Data were collected from a total of 10 people through group meetings. Quantitative data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, range, mean, and standard deviation. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis.The results showed that 1) for knowledge of rice p production management according to organic agriculture standards, the farmers scored on average 20.67 points on a test with 30 questions, on which the lowest score was 9 points, and the highest score was 28 points. Most of the farmers (52.73%) had a high level of knowledge of organic agriculture standards, while 45.45% had a medium level of knowledge and 1.82% had a low level. 2) As for practices in rice cultivation according to organic agriculture standards, the farmers achieved an average score of 48.38 points, which falls under the category of high practice levels. The practices can be categorized into seven aspects, with five of them being highly practiced, ranked by average scores from highest to lowest: Cultivation area: 52.89 points, Water source: 52.67 points, Soil and fertilizer management: 44.22 points, Transportation, storage, and product collection: 47.33 points, and Harvesting and post-harvest practices: 40.80 points. Two aspects were only moderately practiced: Quality management in the pre-harvest production process: 36.08 points and Record keeping and data management: 35.67 points. 3) The organic rice production guidelines for rice collaborative farming farmers in Ban Nam Phu Subdistrict, Khiri Mat District, Sukhothai Province were as follows: (1) Promote learning and provide additional training on organic rice production systems, especially recording and data storage, (2) Use a production plan with recommended management of organic rice plots, inputs and factors of production, (3) Expand sustainability achievements, establish learning centers and organic farming model plots and expand publicity to invite more farmers to participate in organic farming, and (4) Develop the collaborative farming group to upgrade to become modern farmers under the Agriculture 4.0 concept, and appoint a collaborative farming working group to inspect the quality of produce.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) ระดับความรู้เกี่ยวกับการผลิตข้าวตามมาตรฐานเกษตรอินทรีย์ ของเกษตรกรแปลงใหญ่ข้าว ตำบลบ้านน้ำพุ อำเภอคีรีมาศ จังหวัดสุโขทัย 2) การผลิตข้าวตามมาตรฐานเกษตรอินทรีย์ของเกษตรกรแปลงใหญ่ข้าว ตำบลบ้านน้ำพุ อำเภอคีรีมาศ จังหวัดสุโขทัย และ 3) แนวทางการพัฒนาการผลิตข้าวของเกษตรกรแปลงใหญ่ข้าว ตำบลบ้านน้ำพุ อำเภอคีรีมาศ จังหวัดสุโขทัย การวิจัยแบบผสมวิธี ประกอบด้วย การวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ ประชากรคือเกษตรกรแปลงใหญ่ข้าว ตำบลบ้านน้ำพุที่ขึ้นทะเบียนกับกรมส่งเสริมการเกษตรปี 2566/67 จำนวน 55 ราย เก็บข้อมูลจากประชากรทั้งหมดด้วยแบบสอบถาม และวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ กลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลคือผู้นำและสมาชิกแปลงใหญ่ข้าวตำบลบ้านน้ำพุ นักวิชาการเกษตร และผู้นำชุมชน รวม 10 ราย เก็บข้อมูลโดยการประชุมกลุ่ม ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณใช้การวิเคราะห์ค่าความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าต่ำสุด-สูงสุด ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพ ใช้การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ระดับความรู้ในการจัดการการผลิตข้าวตามมาตรฐานเกษตร ได้คะแนนเฉลี่ย 20.67 คะแนน จากทั้งหมด 30 ข้อคำถาม คะแนนต่ำสุด 9 คะแนน คะแนนสูงสุด 28 คะแนน โดยมีความรู้เกี่ยวกับมาตรฐานเกษตรอินทรีย์อยู่ในระดับมาก ระดับปานกลาง และในระดับน้อย คิดเป็นร้อยละ 52.73 45.45 และ 1.82 ตามลำดับ 2) การปฏิบัติในการปลูกข้าวตามมาตรฐานเกษตรอินทรีย์ เกษตรกรปฏิบัติได้คะแนนเฉลี่ย 48.38 คะแนน อยู่ในระดับปฏิบัติมาก จำแนกทั้ง 7 ด้าน ได้แก่ เกษตรกรปฏิบัติในระดับมาก มีจำนวน 5 ด้าน เรียงจากค่าเฉลี่ยมากไปน้อย ได้แก่ ด้านพื้นที่ปลูก 52.89 คะแนน ด้านแหล่งน้ำ 52.67 คะแนน ด้านการจัดการดินและปุ๋ย 44.22 คะแนน ด้านการขนย้าย การเก็บรักษา และการรวบรวมผลผลิต 47.33 คะแนน ด้านการเก็บเกี่ยวและการปฏิบัติหลังการเก็บเกี่ยว 40.80 คะแนน และปฏิบัติในระดับปานกลางจำนวน 2 ด้าน ได้แก่ ด้านการจัดการคุณภาพในกระบวนการผลิตก่อนการเก็บเกี่ยว 36.08 คะแนน ด้านการบันทึกและการจัดเก็บข้อมูล 35.67 คะแนน 3) แนวทางการผลิตข้าวตามมาตรฐานเกษตรอินทรีย์ของเกษตรกรแปลงใหญ่ข้าว ตำบลบ้านน้ำพุ อำเภอคีรีมาศ จังหวัดสุโขทัย มีดังนี้ (1) ด้านการเรียนรู้อบรม ในเรื่องระบบการผลิตข้าวอินทรีย์และด้านการบันทึกและการจัดเก็บข้อมูล (2) ด้านการผลิตข้าวตามมาตรฐานเกษตรอินทรีย์มีการวางแผนการผลิต การจัดการแปลงข้าวอินทรีย์การจัดการวัตถุดิบและปัจจัยการผลิต (3) ด้านการขยายผลความสำเร็จสู่ความยั่งยืน จัดตั้งศูนย์เรียนรู้ แปลงต้นแบบเกษตรอินทรีย์ และประชาสัมพันธ์เชิญชวนเกษตรกรเข้าร่วมเกษตรอินทรีย์ (4) ด้านแปลงใหญ่ข้าว โดยพัฒนาโครงการแปลงใหญ่ยกระดับเข้าสู่เกษตรสมัยใหม่เพื่อเป็นเกษตร 4.0 และแต่งตั้งคณะทำงานแปลงใหญ่ฝ่ายตรวจสอบคุณภาพผลผลิต
