dc.description.abstractalternativeThe purpose of this research was to develop and validate a model of factors analysis contributing to selection of accounting software package of accounting service offices in Bangkok Metropolis. The research population was 1,631 accounting service offices in Bangkok Metropolis ,that used accounting software package and 325 managers of them were research respondents. Instrument used for data collection was 7-rating scales. Reliability of the instrument calculated by Cronbach Alpha Coefficient was at 0.973. Descriptive statistics and second order confirmatory factor analysis were employed to analyze the collected data. The research results indicated the factors contributing to selection of accounting software package of accounting service offices in Bangkok Metropolis consisted of nine factors, ranging from the highest factor loading to the lowest, were 1) capabilities, 2) additional features, 3) support and after sales service, 4) accounting software specification, 5) the ability to expand functionality or work in the future, 6) security system, 7) reliability of accounting software; producers and vendor, 8) ability in processing production cost and 9) acquisition and related cost. Model validation of a good fitted model provided Chi-square value of946.44 with 766 degree of freedom (p = 0.00001); Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) = 0.89; Adjusted Goodness of Fit Index (AGFI) = 0.84 and Comparative Fit Index (CFI) = 1.00; Standardized Root Mean Square Residual (SRMR) = 0.044; Root Mean Square of Error Approximation (RMSEA) = 0.027. The variables in the model analysis of factors contributing to selection of accounting software package of accounting service offices in Bangkok Metropolis was in accordance with the empirical dataen_US
