dc.description.abstractalternativeThe purposes of this research were to: (1) study and compare the inhabitant participatory level in local fund health security operation in four sub-district administrative organizations in Samut Sakhon Province (2) study and compare the support factors of inhabitant participation in local fund health security operation in four sub-district administrative organizations in Samut Sakhon Province (3) analyze the relationship between support factors together with personal factors and inhabitant participation in local fund health security operation in four sub-district administrative organizations in Samut Sakhon Province (4) study problems and obstacles of inhabitant participation in local fund health security operation in four sub-district administrative organizations in Samut Sakhon Province and (5) study appropriate approach to enhance inhabitant participation in local fund health security operation in four sub-district administrative organizations in Samut Sakhon Province. Samples were 397 inhabitants of four sub-district administrative organizations in Samut Saknon province which were pilot areas of local fund health security operation including Bangkrachao, Bangtorad, Suanluang, and Chedriew. Instrument used was questionnaire. Statistical tools employed were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, F-test, Least Significant Different analysis, and multiple regression analysis with level of significance at 0.05 Research result revealed that: (1) in the overall view, the inhabitant participation in local fund health security operation in four sub-district administrative organizations in Samut Sakhon Province was in low level, when compared the participation in four organizations, differences were found (2) support factors of inhabitant participation were attitude, information reception and understanding, respectively; it was found that support factors in large sub-district administrative organizations were different from those in medium size organizations, (3) relationship analysis revealed that age, education, income, information reception and understanding were related to inhabitant participation while occupation and attitude had no relations (4) problems and obstacles of inhabitant participation were lack of knowledge on security fund, most of those who participated were community leaders, medical doctors, and regional health clinic leaders; moreover there were problems of insufficient public relations, lack of time, and low education of inhabitants (5) to enhance inhabitant participation: inhabitants should be encouraged to participate in all aspect of the operation, involved organizations should provide necessary and useful information, promote and support the public relations, organize community center, arrange mobile medical units in villages and finally encourage the participation of private sectorsen_US
