dc.description.abstractalternative | The purposes of this study were to (1) study the readiness of sub-district administrative organization (SAO) and health station in transferring health station to SAO, (2) compare the readiness of different SAO scales in terms of supporting health station transferring, (3) compare the readiness of health station located in different SAO scales to transfer health station to SAO, (4) compare the readiness of SAO and health station in health station transferring (5) study the local leaders’ opinions on the readiness of SAO in terms of supporting health station transferring, (6) compare the local leaders’ opinions on the readiness of different SAO scales in terms of supporting health station transferring, and (7) study the recommendations and ways to stimulate the readiness to transfer health station to SAO The study was a survey research. Samples of 305 included SAO officers, health station officers and local leaders. Instrument used was questionnaire and the data was then statistically analyzed through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test. Research result revealed that (1) the readiness of SAO in transferring health station to SAO was in high level but the readiness of health station to transfer was in low level, (2) compare the readiness of large SAO scale and medium SAO scale in terms of supporting health station transferring was different at .05 level of significance, (3) compare the readiness of health station located in large SAO scale and medium SAO scale to transfer health station to SAO was not different, (4) compare the readiness of large SAO scale and health station located in large SAO scale in health station transferring was different at .05 level of significance but compare the readiness of medium SAO scale and health station located in medium SAO scale in health station transferring was not different, (5) the local leaders’ opinions on the readiness of SAO in terms of supporting health station transferring were in high level, (6) compare the local leaders’ opinions in large SAO scale and medium SAO scale in terms of supporting health station transferring were not different, and (7) major recommendations were: meetings to clarify the transferring should be held, training on related knowledge should be provided to all personnel and agencies involved, increased manpower should be determined with accordance to mission assigned; finally, government, including central agencies and related organizations should allocate more subsidiary budget to support public health administration of sub-district administrative organizations | en_US |
