dc.description.abstractalternativeThe objectives of this research were to: (1) study human resource management process of hotels in Songkhla Province ; (2) study the relationship between personal factors and internal business factors affecting executives’ opinion on human resource management of hotels in Songkhla Province.; and (3) find suggestions for improving human resouses management of the hotels. This research was a descriptive study. The population of this research was 76 hotels from 96 hotels in Songkhla Province and was selected by purposive sampling. A questionnaire was used as a tool. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, F- distribution and Student Newman Keuls method. The results showed that (1) the overall human resource management process of hotels in Songkhla Province had 4 major activities including recruitment, reward, human resources development and personnel maintenance to agree theory John M. Ivancevich (2) respondents whose with different personal factors, including gender, ages, education, working position, working time and experience in human resource management had significantly different opinion levels in human resource management process in terms of recruitment, reward and personnel maintenance. In addition, internal business factors were significantly related to some of human resource management process ;and (3) from the results of this study, some suggestions were that human resource management should be conformed with the hotel size, level of hotel stars and the hotel facilities. Wage, salary and welfare should be surveyed among employees in order to satisfy their needs in order to prevent resignation problem. The labor problems should be informed to responsible government organizations. Qualification requirements of hotel employees should be informed to the academic institutions in order that the institutions would have information to design and teaching appropriate courses. In addition, institutions should cooperate with Thai Hotel Association or human resource department of each hotel to provide academic cooperation in hotel and tourism managementen_US
