| dc.description.abstract | การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทและความหมายของคติความเชื่อเรื่องคำสาป พระร่วงที่ปรากฏในชุมชนชาวปากน้ำ จังหวัดสุโขทัย และเพื่อศึกษาและวิเคราะห์สาเหตุของการดำรงอยู่ และการเปลี่ยนแปลงของคติความเชื่อเรื่องคำสาปพระร่วงที่ปรากฏในชุมชนชาวปากน้ำในปัจจุบันเพื่อใช้วิเคราะห์ผลกระทบที่มีต่อโลกทัศน์ทางการเมืองของชาวปากน้ำ การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการสำรวจ การสังเกตการณ์อย่างมีส่วนร่วม การสัมภาษณ์ กระบวนการประชาคม และจากการศึกษาบันทึกประวัติศาสตร์ท้องถิ่นต่างๆ ทั้งในพื้นที่และนอกพื้นที่จังหวัดสุโขทัย จากการศึกษาพบว่า คติความเชื่อเรื่องคำสาปพระร่วงมีบทบาทและความหมายต่อชาวบ้าน ในชุมชนชาวปากน้ำ ทั้งในระดับชุมชนและระดับบุคคล ผ่านเรื่องเล่าตำนานพระร่วงที่มีการบอกเล่าสืบทอดต่อกันมาจากรุ่นสู่รุ่นมาอย่างยาวนาน กล่าวคือคติความเชื่อเรื่องคำสาปพระร่วงเป็นทั้งวัฒนธรรม ความเชื่อและระบบความสัมพันธ์ของคนในชุมชนสู่ความเป็นวิถีชีวิตชุมชนบ้านปากน้ำ อีกทั้งยังเป็นทางออกในการเข้าไปจัดการความขัดแย้งและสร้างกฎเกณฑ์ทางสังคม โดยการรับรู้ของคนในชุมชนว่า “ชาวบ้านปากน้ำถูกพระร่วงสาปให้ไม่สามารถทำอะไรร่วมกันได้สำเร็จ” นับว่าเป็นการสร้างความประนีประนอมให้คนในสังคมชุมชนยอมรับเงื่อนไข กฎเกณฑ์ของสังคม ที่ถูกกำหนดและสร้างขึ้นโดยผู้มีอำนาจและสิ่งที่มีอำนาจเหนือกว่า เพื่อเป็นการจัดการระบบความสัมพันธ์ของคนกับคน ในการแก้ไข้ปัญหาความขัดแย้งของคนในชุมชน ภายใต้การยอมรับว่า ความขัดแย้งของคนในชุมชนนั้นเป็นลักษณะ ธรรมชาติของสังคมชุมชนเช่นกัน ดังนั้นวัฒนธรรมความเชื่อเรื่องคำสาปพระร่วงจึงส่งผลต่อโลกทัศน์ทางการเมืองของชาวบ้านปากน้ำ ให้มีการยอมรับนับถือผู้นำภายใต้คติความเชื่อดังกล่าวโดยไม่มีเงื่อนไข แม้ว่ากระแสของความเปลี่ยนแปลงในโลกยุคปัจจุบันจะรุนแรงและรวดเร็ว สมกับการเป็นยุคสมัยแห่งเทคโนโลยีการ การสื่อสารที่ไร้พรมแดนก็ตามแต่คติความเชื่อในเรื่องคำสาปพระร่วงของชาวบ้านปากน้ำ อันเป็นตัวแทนของชุมชนในวัฒนธรรมสุโขทัยก็ยังคงอยู่คู่กับชุมชนต่อไป เพราะคติความเชื่อเองก็มีการปรับตัวเพื่อรับใช้สังคมชุมชน ดังนั้นคติความเชื่อจึงยังมีประโยชน์ต่อชุมชนเช่นกัน | th_TH |

| dc.description.abstractalternative | This research aims to study roles and meanings of the beliefs in Phra Ruang’s Curse in Pak Nam community and to analyze the reasons and dynamics of beliefs about Phra Ruang’s curses as depicted in Pak Naum community with the implication of their impacts on the political view of Pak Nam people This is a qualitative research, employing methodologies that include surveys, participative observation, interviews, community’s hearings as well as the analysis of local history records from Sukhothai and others provinces The study finds that the beliefs about Pra-ruang’s curse have considerable roles and meanings to people in the Pak Nam community, both at the community and individual levels. The story of a legendary “Pra-ruang” has passed down from generation to generation since a long period of time. The belief is a systematic cultural practice that defines relationships and way of life in the community. It is also a referent point for social rules and community conflict resolutions. The public perception that Pak Nam people were cursed by Pra-ruang “not a success in unity” provides a referent for intervention by rules and superior authorities in managing community relationships and resolving community conflicts. Such belief system thus affects the political perspective Pak Nam people, leading to the practice of an unconditional respect for leaders. Despite the change in the outside world with the rapid advance of technology of communication, the beliefs about Phra Ruang’s curse of Pak Nam community, a representation of the community in Sukhothai’s culture, will remain strong as it has adapted well to suit the benefits of community | en_US |
