Effects of a Drug Use Preventive Behaviors Development for Youth Leaders at Nongbunmak District, Nakhornratchasima Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to compare knowledge about drugs, perceived risks of drug use and the severity of drugs, perceived benefits of drug use preventive behaviors, perceived self-efficacy in drug use preventive behaviors and drug use preventive behaviors of the experimental group between before and after the experiment and between the experimental group and the comparison group after the experiment.This research was quasi-experimental research. The sample consisted of leader of TO BE NUMBER ONE students, who had never received knowledge about drug use prevention and had characteristics within the inclusion criteria. They were selected by simple random sampling from Nongbunmak Phitthayakhom school to be an experimental group, and from Nongbunmak Prasongwitthaya school to be a comparison group, 30 persons in each group. The experimental tool was the Drug Use Preventive Behaviors Development Program for Youth Leaders based on Health belief model. The data collection tool was a questionnaire with 7 parts; general data, knowledge about drugs, perceived risks of drug use and the severity of drugs, perceived benefits of drug use preventive behaviors, perceived self-efficacy in drug use preventive behaviors and drug use preventive behaviors. The questionnaire part 2-7 had content validity index of .96, 1.00, 1.00, .83, .85 and .88 respectively, and the reliabilities ​​were .844, .962, .824, .951, .934 and .924 respectively. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, Wilcoxon Matched Signed Rank test and Mann-Whithney U test.The results founded as follows: after experiment, the knowledge about drugs of the experimental group was significantly higher than before experiment. perceived risks of drug use of the experimental group was significantly lower than before experiment and comparison group. perceived the severity of drugs, perceived benefits of drug use preventive behaviors, perceived self-efficacy in drug use preventive behaviors and drug use preventive behaviors of the experimental group were significantly higher than before experiment and comparison group (p

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความรู้เกี่ยวกับยาเสพติด การรับรู้โอกาสเสี่ยงของการใช้ยาเสพติดและความรุนแรงของยาเสพติด การรับรู้ประโยชน์ของพฤติกรรมป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติด การรับรู้ความสามารถตนเองในการป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติด และพฤติกรรมป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติดของกลุ่มทดลอง ระหว่างก่อนและหลังได้รับโปรแกรม และระหว่างกลุ่มทดลองกับกลุ่มเปรียบเทียบหลังได้รับโปรแกรมการวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักเรียนแกนนำทูบีนัมเบอร์วัน ที่ไม่เคยได้รับความรู้เกี่ยวกับการป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติดและมีคุณสมบัติตามเกณฑ์คัดเข้าศึกษา ได้จากการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบง่าย จากโรงเรียนหนองบุญมากพิทยาคมเป็นกลุ่มทดลอง และโรงเรียนหนองบุญมากประสงค์วิทยาเป็นกลุ่มเปรียบเทียบ กลุ่มละ 30 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลองเป็นโปรแกรมพัฒนาพฤติกรรมป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติดแกนนำเยาวชน ที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้นตามแนวคิดแบบจำลองความเชื่อด้านสุขภาพ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถาม 7 ส่วน ได้แก่ 1) ข้อมูลทั่วไป 2) ความรู้เกี่ยวกับยาเสพติด 3) การรับรู้โอกาสเสี่ยงของการใช้ยาเสพติด 4) การรับรู้ความรุนแรงของยาเสพติด 5) การรับรู้ประโยชน์ของพฤติกรรมป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติด 6) การรับรู้ความสามารถตนเองในการป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติด และ 7) พฤติกรรมป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติด แบบสอบถามส่วนที่ 2-7 มีค่าดัชนีความตรงเชิงเนื้อหา .96, 1.00, 1.00, .83, .85 และ .88 ตามลำดับ และมีค่าความเที่ยง .844, .962, .824, .951, .934 และ .924 ตามลำดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพรรณนา สถิติทดสอบที สถิติทดสอบวิลคอกซันแมทช์แพร์สซายน์แรงค์ และสถิติทดสอบแมนวิทนีย์ยูผลการวิจัยพบว่า หลังได้รับโปรแกรม กลุ่มทดลองมีความรู้เกี่ยวกับยาเสพติดสูงกว่าก่อนได้รับโปรแกรม มีการรับรู้โอกาสเสี่ยงของการใช้ยาเสพติดต่ำกว่าก่อนได้รับโปรแกรมและกลุ่มเปรียบเทียบ มีการรับรู้ความรุนแรงของยาเสพติด การรับรู้ประโยชน์ของพฤติกรรมป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติด การรับรู้ความสามารถตนเองในการป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติด และพฤติกรรมป้องกันการใช้ยาเสพติด สูงกว่าก่อนได้รับโปรแกรมและกลุ่มเปรียบเทียบ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
